ABOUT ME

From Cassopolis to Kalamazoo to Besançon and back.

Born and raised in Cassopolis, MI where I graduated from Ross Beatty Jr. Sr. High School in 2010. Higher education then took me to Kalamazoo, MI to study French and English secondary education at Western Michigan University. At this five star university I had the opportunity to work with excellent professors and educators who taught critical thinking and how to teach effectively. Having classes in literary interpretation, linguistics, and literary criticism I have grown in the art of literature and the English language. At the same time, I have followed an in-depth study of the French language which has taken me across international waters. I had the greatest experience while in college, study abroad. I studied at the Centre Linguistique Appliquée in Besancon, France where I soaked up French culture and studied French linguistics and phonetics. Coming back to Kalamazoo I became more passionate about sharing the things that I have learned and to pass on the knowledge about French and the new perspective on the English language. Finishing my studies at WMU, I am excited to become a professional in education and broaden the future.
